Another Wartime corned beef recipe

Tonight I used up the rest of the corned beef which I opened to make last nights wartime recipe.

Curried corned beef balls

6oz corned beef (finely diced)
1 tsp curry powder
1 tbsp grated onion
1/2 oz fat/oil
1/2 teacup of soft breadcrumbs
1/2 teacup of crisp breadcrumbs
1/2 tsp worcester sauce
A little milk

Heat the oil or fat in a pan and on a low heat gently fry the onion for 5 minutes, add the curry powder cook for a further 2 minutes, stir in the corned beef, soft breadcrumbs and the worcester sauce.

Remove from heat.
Form the mixture into small balls, brush with milk and roll in the crisp breadcrumbs..
Cook for 10 minutes, under the grill or in the oven if it is in use.

Before going in the oven....

These were served with homemade coleslaw and homemade oven chips.

The recipe says four helpings. Depends on how big you make them.

It doesn't look much but I guess if pressed together would be about the size of a small burger, but plenty when served with something else.

Again another simple, cheap and tasty meal.

I would definitely make last nights and tonight's meals again, not bad getting 6 portions from a tin of £1.47 corned beef.
