Bargain Veg

After clearing out the last of the veg from the fridge this morning to go in the slow cooker for tea, I said to my husband I will have to go yellow sticker shopping tomorrow night to see if I could find some vegetables.

No need now as I heard Asda are selling veg for 20p.

Not bad for £1.80.

So if you need some vegetables get yourself down to Asda, not sure how long the offer is on for.

  1. A wonderful haul for so little! Well done! I look for yellow stickers in Waitrose but they don't have many and not in the morning when we do shopping. How late do you go out to do shopping to find such bargains?

    2. I really ought to try Asda ... it's such a short distance from our home, silly not to, but we are in the habit of going to Lidl and Waitrose, the Alpha and Omega of shopping, ha ha!

  6. That's great, our closest Asda is a bit of a trek unfortunately, but great for anyone with a store nearby. I picked up 2.5kg potatoes for 29p from Aldi yesterday, I'm pleased with that.

  7. I need to get to Asda and buy some of those for Sunday. I suspect it's a short lived Easter promotion, but it proves the rotters could sell cheaper if they wanted to!

  9. With the cost of living rising and wages static, depreciating in real terms, there should be a campaign for all supermarkets to sell veg with very small profit margins/ at cost. I am sure it would boost health levels and be a great help to those on tight budgets.
