March Challenge - Day 18

Welcome to my new follower Aurora.

Not much of a post today, I have been busy tied up with other things.

Today's spend £4.79

I bought bread, milk, eggs and a small pot of cream.

I need the eggs and the cream for something I am making tomorrow, so I will be sharing a recipe with you.

Tea will be simple beans on toast tonight.

March spend so far - £70.14

  1. Sometimes you just can't beat beans on toast. I'm looking forward to the recipe.
    Enjoy your evening Marlene. X

  5. Something very British about beans on toast. I can't leave a tin of beans alone and have many 'recipes' that ring in the changes. I love my toast thinly spread with Marmite, then the beans, then a thin sprinkling of cheese that melts with the heat of the beans. Hungry now!

  6. You make me feel v. ashamed at what we spend! I got through more than your March-spend-to-far in one trip to Lidl's to stock up on cleaning products, foil, caddy bags, waste bags, sponges, pan scrubs, coffee, salmon, etc. This doesn't include the Waitrose shop, nor Dunelm yesterday for some lampshades (they will just about do, but then Dunelm isn't Harrods nor does it pretend to be!)
Eggs & cream? Baked egg custard?

    1. You shouldn't feel ashamed at all Margaret, you are at that stage in life where you can buy and treat yourselves, the less we spend now means more for us to play with when the time comes. Egg custard no.
