Wow yesterdays post was very popular, thankyou for all your comments, it is interesting to hear your stories as well.

Also I have three new followers, so a big hello and welcome to Mr Homemaker, Julie and Knitty Nutter.

I will be doing more money saving posts in the future.

I tried to run two blogs before but I still think it will be to much, after Christmas I am thinking of starting a challenge. But it will be included on this blog.

Here is a clue...

All of the above were today's yellow sticker shop.

The next few years we want to reduce the shopping and bills even more, so I am going to set a challenge and this time stick to it. It will be tough, but I just have an image in my head and it will soon be in our reach.

  2. I still cannot get over the knock down prices you pay. If I lived where you do I reckon I'd pay no more than £10 a week for my food. Amazing.

    2. Sorry the spelling and grammar are terrible. I kept losing signal. You are definitely the yellow sticker queen and I know your challenge will be a success. Furthermore, you will achieve your goal of a little house in Wales, sooner rather than later at this rate. 👑 👑 👑

  9. Thanks for the shout-out :-) I think I know what the challenge will be. We only shop specials and stockpile them. It is a little more outlay up front or at the time but well worth the trouble.

    1. Yes it is the thing to do, the yellow stickers are really only on the fresh bits, but if there is an offer on things we use regularly I will buy more than one to see us through to the next offer.

  10. The yellow sticker blog. One was started by a young blogger earlier this year and it disappeared after a few months.

Mean Queen at Life after Money is the Queen of mark downs. She rarely buys anything at first price.

Our reductions here are rarely 50% off. So I'm happy when I get meat at 25% off.

  12. All my meat is yellow stickered. I stick it in the freezer. It saves me a fortune. Yesterday's moussaka was made from a pack of £1.49 lamb mince and there is enough for four very greedy portions. xx

    1. They are amazing, but there are times when I don't get much, but then there is always something I can use from the freezer.

    1. We are cutting back drastically after Christmas then I will start a challenge, I don't want to start before as I don't want to cheat to much, I want to make a little dent in the stores.
