The Best Things in Life are Free.

The best things in life are free...........

Like spending precious time with my family.

My family are my world.

It was my night off from cooking again.

Hubby and I relaxed with a glass of wine or two and some nibbles, while darling Jack worked in the kitchen.

Tonight on the menu it was Falafels, Pitta, Salad and Salsa.

It was very nice.

Then three glasses of wine later I was feeling rather tiddly and we played swingball, it was such a laugh.

A perfect evening with my family.

  2. I have a mental vision of you attempting to play Swingball when tiddly . . lol, lol, lol.
Isn't it great to have someone cook for you? One of my sons lives and works in Afghanistan, so when he has the chance to come and visit his old Mum in Cornwall, he loves nothing better than to wander around Waitrose (drooling at the variety of food!) then coming back with his bags of food to cook wonderful meals for everyone. He loves trying new recipes and I love, love, love his meals.

    1. It was funny, there are some nice things in Waitrose, at least he spoils you when he comes back.

  3. That sounds perfect. But three glasses of wine would have me unconscious so I admire your swingball capability 😉 X

  6. Never a truer word said, the best things in life are free...sounds like an amazing evening, one to treasure. One glass of wine would have me giggling, three and I would have been sleeping.

  7. I have no idea what falafels are ... are they meat or veg or what? That meal looked lovely, but how our food has changed ... a couple of decades ago a salad would've been accompanied by a slice of ham or a pork pie! I'm now saying either style of eating is better, just simply that food today is so different and we have so many choices. Do you make your own falafels (whatever they are) and salsa (I know what that is!)?

    1. Hello Margaret, a falafel is a vegetarian burger made with chickpeas seasoning and red onions, everything was done from scratch. I love old fashioned foods, but also love trying new things, it was very nice. Have a lovely weekend.

I love shopping as well, I found one of the little milk jugs in the shape of a mini milk carton which you got from Asda a few weeks bag, very cute.
