Today I cooked Roast using one of the the Chickens we got on Thursday.

So that was two roast dinners today, I cooked extra so we could have another one tomorrow.

Then there was still plenty of meat left, so I will make slow cooker Chicken Stew, for Monday & Tuesday.

Eight meals, how thrifty is that, saving time, energy & money, brilliant.

Some cards I made yesterday.

I try to sell a few unwanted items a month, when I do I always treat myself to a little something, I can't believe how cheap these were £2.78 including postage.

They look really pretty don't you think.

Enjoy your weekend.

  2. I love those fairy lights. A nice no cook day for you tomorrow - sometimes the Sunday roast takes up most of the day. Tomorrow I have 50 iris bulbs to set so hoping for a decent day.

    1. Yes I know what you mean, I think tomorrow is a bit better weather wise, Iris is one of my all time favourites, I have planted some mini ones xx

  3. I can't work out how large those floral lights are, just small ones or as tall as hi-fi floor-based speakers? Do you plan to have them on other than at Christmas? There seems a vogue to have fairy light strung everywhere these days, not my bag, but if people like them, then why not?
I like your cards - I like the fox cubs one the best. I always think with cards, the simpler the better. Well, that goes for most things, really!

  4. Hello Margaret, they are about the size of a normal rose I guess, my lantern is around 25 cm. I do , we don't have a light on in the lounge in the evening, just the fairy lights. I agree with the cards, the simpler the better, have a good weekend.

Your lamp is also very pretty. Enjoy your cooking free day today.
